Hold the Last Line Controls

Standard Roblox FPS keys plus the inventory, chest, and swap binds players actually use on video.

Sixcube has not published an official keybind table for Hold the Last Line. There is no in-game settings screenshot from the developer that lists every action, and the Roblox place description does not include a control card. This page treats the game as a standard Roblox first-person shooter, then adds the binds that show up in public sessions: number keys to swap guns, B for inventory, Equip Best on the green inventory button, and E to interact with chests. If a patch remaps those keys, trust the on-screen prompt over this table.

Read this after Getting Started if you already know what the last house is. Come back from How to Play if you opened a Nightblade pistol and are still firing the starter rifle. Boss-wave movement is covered in How to Beat the Boss. The rest of the Guides Hub is linked at the end if you only needed one bind.

PC controls (community-observed)

Use this as a working keyboard map, not as a legal document from Sixcube.

ActionTypical PC bindWhat players actually do
MoveWASDStrafe on the courtyard. Do not hold only W into a horde.
Look / aimMouseTrack heads on small zombies; track limbs on the giant.
ShootLeft mouse (hold)Several guns reward holding fire, not tap-clicking.
JumpSpaceClear stairs and small geometry; do not jump-spam in a doorway.
Swap weapon1 / 2Swap the two guns you equipped, not every trophy in the bag.
InventoryBOpens the bag. Pressing B again can close it.
Equip BestGreen button in inventoryForces the strongest equipped roll. If it refuses a new bow, the bow lost the compare.
Interact / chests / dailyEChests, marked upgrades, and some spawn-room prompts.
ReloadR on many Roblox FPS gamesNot confirmed in an official table. If your gun pauses, look at the prompt.

Shift-sprint, Ctrl-crouch, and right-click aim-down-sights are normal Roblox shooter habits. Hold the Last Line videos rarely pause to label them. If right-click zooms your sniper, use it on the wall. If it does nothing, hipfire and reposition. Do not stand still in the courtyard testing binds while a runner reaches spawn.

Inventory, Equip Best, and why the new gun never appears

This is the bind that dumps new players. You follow the arrow, press E, see a Nightblade pistol or a bow-and-arrow chest, hear the pull, and keep shooting the starter rifle. The chest gave you an item. It did not put that item in your hands.

Press B. Find the green Equip Best control at the top of inventory. Use that rather than guessing which orange button is a drop. Public videos show a player pressing the wrong color, dropping a roll, and then asking where the RPG went. Do not drop guns on the tiles unless you mean it. Other players may not even see the drop.

If Equip Best will not take the bow, the game thinks your current rifle is stronger. That can be true. Early bows miss, take charge time, and lose to an upgraded starter. Check the weapon tier list and affixes after the match. Use the loadout tool if you want to plan a 1/2 pair without the inventory UI covering the courtyard.

Number keys 1 and 2 only swap what is equipped. Mashing both at once does nothing useful. One key selects one slot. Keep a dense-wave gun on 1 and a pick gun (pistol, charged bow, sniper) on 2.

Combat habits that are not extra binds

Hold fire on the rifle unless the gun obviously pulses. Aim higher than you think on small Brainrot bodies; several sessions treat headshots as deletes. Keep moving along a lane that still sees the last house. Jump to unstick from stairs, not to bunny-hop a giant.

When an on-screen arrow points at a chest or upgrade, that is your interact cue. Clear a step of space, press E, then look back at spawn. The same E-style interact is how players claim the daily reward in the spawn room. If nothing happens, you are out of range or you are looking at decoration.

The spin wheel is a prompt, not a key. When it appears, interact, take the potion, and return. Do not hunt a hidden wheel key. There isn’t one in the public footage.

Mobile and touch

Mobile uses Roblox’s on-screen shoot and jump buttons plus a move stick. There is no official overlay screenshot from Sixcube, so this section stays short on purpose. Tap shoot if a tap fires. Hold shoot if the rifle behaves like the PC hold-to-fire guns. Jump is the on-screen jump control, not a keyboard Space. Interact is usually a proximity button when you stand on a chest; look for a prompt instead of searching for a physical E key.

Inventory on touch is a bag icon rather than the B key. Equip Best is still the green control once that bag is open. Weapon swap may be on-screen gun slots instead of 1/2. If you cannot find swap, open the bag and equip manually, then close the UI so you can see the door.

Thumb overlap is the real mobile risk. The shoot button sits where you also need to look behind you. Practice on the first trash wave, not on the giant. If the touch controls never appear, that is a Roblox UI delay some players hit on load; wait, or rejoin, before you assume the game is broken.

Common bind failures

You opened inventory with B and now you cannot shoot. Close inventory with B again. The cursor is eating clicks.

You pressed 1 and 2 together because a teammate said “one and two.” They meant one key or the other, not a chord.

You tapped E on a chest while sprinting past it. Stop, look at the case, press E once.

You used Equip Best and lost the shiny bow. The compare thought the rifle won. That is a roll, not a keybug. Farm another chest instead of dropping the rifle in the courtyard.

You are on a laptop trackpad. Lower look sensitivity in Roblox settings until you can track a runner up the stairs. Sixcube does not ship a special sensitivity slider that we can document.

Practice on the first two waves

Before you worry about How to Beat the Boss, spend two trash waves doing only bind drills. Move with WASD while keeping the house door in view. Hold fire on the starter rifle. Press 1, then 2, after you have two equipped guns. Open B, hit Equip Best, close B, confirm you can shoot again. Walk to a marked chest, press E, and return to spawn without chasing the kill feed. If that sequence is clean, you already have better control than most of a 12-player server. Put the extra attention on lanes, not on hunting a secret key that Sixcube never posted.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for wave defense, weapons, and codes.

Is this the official Hold the Last Line keybind list?

No. Sixcube has not published an official table. These binds are the ones public PC sessions actually use, plus standard Roblox FPS movement.

How do I swap weapons?

Press 1 or 2 for the guns you equipped. Opening a chest does not auto-swap. Use inventory Equip Best first, then the number keys.

What does B do?

B opens inventory on PC. Use the green Equip Best button at the top, then close inventory so you can shoot. See Getting Started for the chest-to-equip flow.

How do I open chests on mobile?

Stand on the marked case and use the on-screen interact prompt. Shoot and jump stay on the touch buttons. There is no published mobile overlay from Sixcube.

Why will Equip Best not put on my new bow?

The compare thinks your current gun is stronger. Keep the rifle, farm another chest, and rank rolls on the weapon tier list.

Where should I go after I can actually shoot?

Open How to Play for the house-and-chest loop, then How to Beat the Boss before the lighting changes.
